 | ConSel Software-data base programmeConSel is definitely the most user-friendly software for selecting welding consumable in dissimilar joints between carbon- and stainless- steels.
You operate ConSel with a few clicks in worksheets, selecting types of steel and consumables. First choice is the carbon steel, parent metal, the second is the stainless parent metal, all in the data base list. Specified consumables are selected by welding method in the programme, or by yourself, as a user-specialist.
ConSel allows you to pre-set dilution levels and options for the best suitable conditions. Selection is based on information from Welding Handbook, volume four, seventh editions, 1982. ConSel displays Analysis and Ferrite Number of the selected steel grades, consumable, and weld metal as well as Schaeffler-, DeLong- and WRC-92 diagram. In case of problems, warnings will be printed out for technical discussion or future project files.
Content: The ConSel program consists of three floppy discs for Windows 3.1/3.11/95/NT. Instructions in English are attached. ConSel is an open data base where you can add or delete steel grades and consumables.
